A taste for speed.
I discovered speed skiing between the ages of 19 and 23. In 1993, I reached 218.342 km/h and ranked ninth in the world.

A passion for motion
Born in 1970 in the canton of Vaud, I have always loved speed, the mountains and sporting challenges.
From speed skiing to skeleton, then cross-country paragliding, the thrill of motion has taken many forms in my life. Each discipline taught me how to prepare, read the terrain and persevere.
Today, that experience fuels my commitment to alpine sit-skiing. With #handiski.spirit, I am pursuing one ambition: aiming for selection for the 2030 Paralympic Winter Games.
Before alpine sit-skiing
I discovered speed skiing between the ages of 19 and 23. In 1993, I reached 218.342 km/h and ranked ninth in the world.
I joined the Swiss skeleton squad and competed on the European and intercontinental circuits for almost ten years.
Paragliding became a passion for cross-country flying and competition, with flights of over 320 kilometres in Brazil and across the Swiss and French Alps.
27 February 2023 · South Africa
During a training flight from Porterville, a paragliding accident changed my life. I became paraplegic.
After an initial operation in Cape Town, REGA brought me back to Switzerland. I received care at CHUV, then began rehabilitation in Sion thirteen weeks after the accident.
Skiing again became my goal. Rehabilitation, followed by training, allowed me to gradually build a new sporting project.

Returning to competition
For the 2025–2026 season, I joined the Swiss Paralympic alpine skiing squad, two seasons after my accident.
In the Czech Republic, in giant slalom and super-G, during my first international season.
Several international top-ten finishes in giant slalom during that first season.
My goal for 2030 focuses on giant slalom, super-G and downhill. Selection is still to be earned, training session after training session and race after race.

Beyond sport
My working life began with an apprenticeship as a plumbing installer. Fluids, industrial and medical gases, followed by project management and sales leadership, have shaped my career.
In sport as in my work, I value perseverance, quality and team spirit.
My family, loved ones and medical teams played an essential role in rebuilding my life. I am deeply grateful to them.
The Swiss Paraplegics Association, the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation, PluSport and Handiconcept are supporting this adventure. With my partners and the supporters’ club, I hope to keep it growing through to 2030.
